The Atomium - Brussels





The Atomium is a building in Brussels originally constructed for Expo 58, Brussels World Fair. Designed by the engineer André Waterkeyn and architects André and Jean Polak, it stands 102 m tall. The giant stainless steel atom,has eight levels spread over five spheres that are open to the public and are connected by escalators. The 92m panorama offers  a spectacular 360 degree view of the city. The nine giant spheres light up at night  with 2970 LED lights.With exhibitions and a a panoramic restaurant (open until 11pm) offering gourmet menus, The Atomium is definitely worth a visit.
