Tongeren is a city in eastern Belgium, near the Dutch border. A modern building houses its Gallo-Roman Museum. Inside are displays of weapons, pots and jewellry ranging from prehistory to Roman times, when the city was a major trading hub.
In the main square is the 19th-century statue of Ambiorix, a local king who defeated the invading Romans in 54 B.C. The remains of the medieval walls surround the city centre. For further information and to plan your visit please Click Here
