Visit the Donkey Sanctuary L'Oasis des Ânes in Belgium

Donkey Refuge, L'Oasis des Ânes is in Belgium, roughly a 40 minute drive from JFC Brunssum. The shelter is open on the first Sunday of the month from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

There are lots of donkeys at the sanctuary for you to meet, and if you want to know more about each individual donkey, the L'Oasis des Ânes website has a page dedicated to each donkey and how they arrived to live at the refuge.
A guided tour of the refuge is organized every first Sunday of the month. You can meet the donkeys and volunteers, who will share their knowledge of the Oasis' residents and show you the stalls and meadows. These discoveries take place in a truly enchanting natural setting.

To pleasantly end the visit, a small shop allows you to acquire a variety of "donkey" souvenirs: stickers, T-shirts, key rings, stuffed animals, mugs, etc. Not forgetting the valuable informative documentation on this endearing but often misunderstood equine.

Visit the Donkey Sanctuary's website for more details and information.
