Commencing Monday 11th March, the entire Bodemplein area (cross-road Akerstraat – Prins Hendriklaan – Dodemplein – Rumpenerstraat) in down town Brunssum is closed to all traffic until 19th July 2024. The square will see a complete reconstruction.
The current crossroads with traffic lights will be replaced by two connecting roundabouts. Public transport, first aid and emergency services as well as cyclists and residents will be able to access the square, limitations apply. All other through traffic will be detoured.
Camp Hendrik Akerstraat Gate will remain open to pedestrians and cyclists (when repaired).
